Robotic Process Automation (RPA) has gained some serious traction in the last few years, as organizations have begun utilizing the software to automate particularly repetitive tasks. The scale of the RPA revolution became abundantly evident in a recent study by Deloitte, in which 400 executives responsible for running transactional operations were interviewed.
It was found that more than half of these organizations had already begun implementing RPA technology, with almost all remaining organizations expecting to adopt the technology within the next five years.
Not only did the results reveal the widespread adoption of RPA technology, but also the positive impact that these organizations are experiencing as a result. In fact, almost 90% of respondents said that their expectations of productivity improvement were either met or exceeded. Of those, almost 80% expect to increase their investment in RPA technology in the next three years.
