Running a business and managing employees is a challenging and exhilarating experience. It comes with its ups and downs and is one of the most demanding things we can undertake in our lives - both physically and emotionally. Fitness can often take a back seat when we prioritize our work lives...but does fitness in our personal lives improve performance in our businesses? The answer is a resounding YES!
In recent years I have been on a journey to prove this to myself and the transformation is crystal clear. A fit and healthy leader comes with more energy, reduced stress, more confidence and sets an example to the team. The hardest thing for me was working out after a long stressful day, but after fitness improves, energy levels throughout the day were massively increased.
So after a turbulent day, I set aside the beers and chips and picked up those running shoes instead - and set off on a journey to becoming the best personal and business version of me.
